Thursday Bible Studies
The gentle slopes swept down to the blue, blue waters of the lake, Here and there amongst the hills on both sides of the lake nestled picturesque villages with quaint, old-fashioned names - Capernaum, Bethsaida, Tiberias, Chorazin. The villagers fished, farmed, herded swine. The scene was idyllic except for one thing Up there in the cemetery, living among the dead, raving lunatic-was a demon-possessed -a man. His strength was notorious, his rages horrifying to behold. More than once the villages
had banded together and sent armed men to the graveyard to corner and chain the fellow only to flee from him in mortal fear when he snapped the chains like cotton thread and hurled himself upon them in demonic rage. He was the terror of all. With this man at large no one was safe.
Join us on Thursday to continue studying this book by John Phillips. This week bible study will be at Rideauview Bible Chapel
Once a person accepts Christ in his heart, the transformation starts - "he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus". It is a wonderful journey -to come to know Christ. Why is so important to read the bible?
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
